Who Are We?

Robin’s Nest Tutoring is a group of high school and undergraduate students passionate about education and service. We believe that every child deserves every opportunity to reach their full potential, and we want to help our local community reach that goal.

What We Do

Every Saturday, from 1-5 PM, we offer a free tutoring service at the TJ Patterson and Godeke libraries in Lubbock for students K-12. We can tutor math, reading, writing, coding, test preparation, and more. We can also offer advice to those unsure about future academic or career paths. We also offer free online tutoring.

Where Are We?

Currently, we have 2 locations.

Godeke Library was where we began and is currently our most active branch. The head tutors there are Christine Spears, Emily Forrest, Aarya Patel, and Savanna He.

We’ve also expanded to TJ Patterson Library to reach out to others in the Lubbock community. Our head tutors there are Carolina Hernandez-Acosta, Zaid Kharrat, and Verlon Amurao.

With enough interest, we hope to one day be found in every public library in Lubbock. We also are working on expanding to more schools—Dunbar College Preparatory Academy, Wester Elementary School, and Mackenzie Middle School are our top choices right now.

If you have any suggestions or requests of where we should head to next, feel free to let us know!

How to Reach us

How Can I Get Tutoring?

You can sign up here so we can ensure a tutor for everyone. It also lets us know what additional resources you/your child may require, which we will try our best to meet. Otherwise, you can go to the aforementioned tutoring locations when they become available.

How To Help

If you are interested in being a tutor yourself, you can fill out our tutor sign up form here. Our tutor expectations are listed here. We are looking for tutors for both online and in person services.

If you are looking for other ways to help, you can donate here. All monetary donations go towards educational resources for our students and website and marketing funding.
